Prop Firms With No Consistency Rule 2026

A consistency rule caps the percentage of total profit that can come from a single best-day trade. It punishes spiky equity curves and forces traders to spread profit across many sessions. The firms below either do not impose a consistency rule on funded accounts or apply it only on the evaluation phase.

Consistency rules exist because they protect the firm from one-trade-wonders who happen to land a single home run during the evaluation. The downside for the trader is that legitimate large wins (a strong news trade, a swing position that runs) can violate the rule and forfeit a payout. If you trade infrequent high-conviction setups or hold positions across days, a no-consistency-rule firm is structurally a better fit than a thirty percent best-day cap.

    Frequently asked questions

Is no consistency rule the same as no rules at all?

No. These firms still enforce daily loss limits, maximum drawdown, minimum trading days and (in most cases) news trading restrictions. The consistency rule is one specific constraint that some firms drop and others keep.

Why does FTMO not have a consistency rule?

FTMO has historically positioned itself as the most rule-friendly major firm in the forex space. Combined with static drawdown, the absence of a consistency rule makes FTMO mathematically one of the easier funded environments to maintain over time.

Do futures firms have consistency rules?

Most do, in some form. Apex applies a fifty percent best-day rule on payouts, Topstep applies a softer version, and TradeDay uses thirty percent. Among futures firms, the consistency constraint is closer to a standard than an exception.
